Cruise Ship Shuttle
Port Arthur has a naturally deep harbour which lended itself perfectly to the arrival of large ships back in the convict era. Port Arthur Historic Site even operated its own Dockyard from 1834 where over 16 large decked ships were built and launched.
Passengers arriving at Port Arthur Historic Site on cruise ships are tendered to the jetty in the morning to explore the site as well as the wider region.

A shuttle is available to Port Arthur Lavender, Tasmanian Devil Unzoo and the Chocolate Foundry. Please go to the top floor of the visitor centre and head outside no bookings are necessary. Please see the map below for more details.
